Brand is what happens, repeatedly.
If you wanted to understand a business, where would you start?
You could read its mission statement. Study its logo. Ask a friend to describe its values.
Or you could see what happens when a customer has a problem at 4.45 on a Friday.
That last one is revealing.
A business might say it values care. But the person answering the phone has to decide what care means when they were about to leave for the weekend.
Customers build their impression from moments like these. The helpful explanation. The confusing invoice. The promise kept without a reminder.
Your identity and content create an expectation. What happens next gives people a reason to believe it.
Over time, those experiences form a pattern. And that pattern becomes what people remember about your business.
Which raises a useful question: if someone watched your business for a week, without ever reading your mission statement, what would they think you stood for?
